Malone + Pike Ltd is a RIBA Chartered Practice meaning that we bring the highest standards in architecture and design to your home whilst acting with honesty and integrity throughout the project.
We can be appointed for all stages of your build from concept through to completion working closely with our partner contractors, party wall surveyors, engineers etc to bring the project to life.
Week 1
Measured Survey
We begin with a detailed site visit, carrying out a full measured survey of the property. This typically takes around two hours and requires access to the entire house. Using laser measurement tools alongside photography, we gather all the information required to accurately document the existing building and prepare for the design stage.
Weeks 2–3
Drawings & 3D Model
Following the survey, we produce a complete set of existing drawings, including plans, sections, and elevations. Alongside this, we create a detailed 3D model of the property, forming the foundation for all subsequent design development and helping us accurately test ideas throughout the project.
Weeks 4–8
Concept Design
We develop initial design proposals tailored to your brief, presenting plans, sections, elevations, and 3D views to help you clearly visualise the scheme. The proposals are refined collaboratively through ongoing feedback and discussion until a final design direction is agreed and prepared for planning.
Week 9-17
Planning Submission
Once the design is agreed, we prepare and submit the full planning application, including all required drawings and supporting documents. During the review period, we liaise with the planning officer, manage the process, and respond to any feedback to give the application the strongest possible chance of approval.
Week 18-21
Construction Drawings
Following planning approval, we produce a detailed construction package including technical drawings and specifications required for pricing and building on site. This package forms the basis for contractor pricing and construction, ensuring the design is fully resolved and can be delivered accurately during the build phase.

Construction Support
We continue supporting you throughout the construction phase to help ensure the design is delivered as intended on site. This can include site visits, contractor coordination, and ongoing guidance as the build progresses, alongside structured meetings and contract administration services where a more hands-on role is required.
