Nestled within a Grade II listed building in South Kensington, this lateral apartment has been thoughtfully reimagined to establish a serene and seamless living environment. While the property boasted generous dimensions, its original layout lacked cohesion and efficiency.

Respecting the constraints of its historic setting, we devised a plan that brought unity to the main living spaces, all the while retaining key period features. Bespoke joinery and carefully considered sightlines softened transitions between areas, fostering a sense of continuity and tranquillity.
The material palette was deliberately subdued—featuring natural stone, timber, and gentle whites—imbuing the architecture with a sense of permanence and elegance.

As specialists in listed building architecture in London, we possess a profound understanding of conservation mandates and design delicacy. This project exemplifies our methodology in handling protected heritage environments: subtly enhancing the original architecture while updating it for modern living.
